One cool thing about the Internet is the ability for people to buy and sell things all over the globe. Anyone can buy and sell stuff they need or don't need to anyone else, anywhere. There are sites made specifically for this, and then there are platforms like Marketplace that are embedded in Facebook. These platforms can get kind of weird.

Not only do these sites benefit those using them, but they benefit the community and the world too. People can make some money back from the things they don't need anymore, other folks can get a good deal on the things they do need, and there is less waste in the world overall.
