25 Cats Who Take Their Careers Very Seriously

Three cats with jobs.

We all know about service animals, working dogs and even barn cats that help keep farms pest-free.

Those animals have important responsibilities and real jobs to do. But what about the cats working as mechanics? Or plumbers? Or office managers who spend most of the day asleep on top of a keyboard?

That is where "Cats With Jobs" comes in. The subreddit is dedicated to photos of cats that accidentally look like they are fully employed members of society.

These are the brave little workers spotted inside toolboxes, perched on ladders or supervising renovations from the exact spot where somebody needs to stand. They rarely contribute actual labor, but they are excellent at staring thoughtfully into the distance like tiny foremen planning a major project.

The funniest part is how serious the cats always look. Dogs pretending to work usually seem excited and happy to participate. Cats, meanwhile, act like they are exhausted from carrying the entire company on their backs.

Of course, none of these cats are literally employed, but that has not stopped the internet from fully embracing the idea that somewhere out there is a cat qualified to repair your plumbing and manage your taxes in the same afternoon.

At the end of the day, cats may not actually be joining the workforce anytime soon. But judging from these photos, many of them already believe they are the boss.
