There are professionals out there for a reason. There are some problems that should only be addressed by trained professionals. Some people online feel like they are qualified to give out advice to fix some pretty serious issues, but they are not, and it shows. This kind of advice and these sorts of inspirational, fix-all quotes are all over the web, but they should be taken with a grain of salt. The folks who post them and brag about them generally have no clue what they are talking about, which is bad.

There's always a certain kind of person who thinks they have all the answers to everyone's problems. It's always the people whose lives appear perfect online and they tell people to just live like them to be better. In reality, things don't work like that, everyone's needs and lives are different. Some problems are bigger than a motivational quote.

Don't take important advice from random people online, simple as that. Here are some examples of shallow pieces of advice, bad quotes, and other messages that aren't exactly what people need.
