There are always multiple ways to approach a job, but some are better than others. When it comes to construction and other blue-collar jobs, there are certain ways to get things done while being safe about it. OSHA, or the Occupational Safety and Health Association, is the association that monitors and ensures safety at work. Sometimes, though, the safe way is not the convenient way.

From time to time, people go against these recommendations and take things into their own hands, resulting in some pretty shocking, but horrifyingly hilarious moments. This isn't always the best idea, but it makes for some pretty awful and kind of hilarious photos. From sketchy ladders to welding without a mask, some folks don't take safety seriously enough.

Many times, people have been caught in compromising positions or doing things in super unsafe ways in the name of getting something done. Don't take anything the people are doing in these images seriously, and don't try these methods at home.
