Anyone who has ever worked in retail before knows the horror of serving a Karen. Some people have it out for young workers, and they make it their mission to ruin their day. It's hard to say why some customers are so terrible to staff just doing their job, but it is something that is unfortunately unavoidable in life. Those who have had to deal with rude customers have likely imagined ways to get back at them, but not many actually put their plans in action.

For this young barista, though, he decided to take things into his own hands. When a customer came in to complain about something beyond his control, he played a prank that would make the customer eat his own words, and maybe learn a lesson in kindness. While it's satisfying to see someone get what they deserve, it is hard to say whether this was the right move or not.

This employee came to ask the Internet's opinion on whether what he did was right or not, and commenters had pretty split thoughts about the situation…
