What Are 'Verity Variants'? The 'Falsity,' 'Cruelty' And 'Lovity' Characters And Their Memes Explained
The floating yellow smiley face known as Verity has apparently become less of a character and more of a franchise in recent months thanks to the rapid rise of the Minecraft horror ARG.
Fans have taken Verity’s distinctive design and turned it into a growing collection of color-coded variants, each with their own name and personality while retaining the same basic floating-face appearance and spooky rogue AI assistant concept.
The result is a fan-created cast that ranges from Falsity, a blue version associated with lies, to Cruelty, a darker red variant with an aggressive personality, and Lovity, a pink version centered around affection and romance.
As more variants appeared, the concept spread through fan animations, additional Minecraft mods, Roblox content, quizzes, short-form videos and more fan-made content.
So, what exactly are these "Verity Variants," and how did Verity’s simple yellow smiley-face design become the basis for an entire collection of fan-made characters? Here’s what you need to know.

Where Did The Verity Variants Come From?
Verity originated as a Minecraft horror ARG and web series created by YouTuber ThatMob, with the first episode uploaded on May 30th, 2026.
The character is depicted as a floating yellow smiley-face AI assistant that presents itself as a “personal helper friend,” initially appearing supportive and seemingly omniscient before becoming increasingly creepy, obsessive and monstrous.
As the Verity fandom expanded, fans began experimenting with alternate versions of the character, keeping the familiar smiley-face design while changing its color and personality.
Falsity became associated with blue and misleading information, while Cruelty was depicted in red or darker colors and portrayed as hostile toward Verity. Lovity emerged as a pink, affectionate counterpart, with additional variants eventually expanding the concept into a larger collection of “-ity” characters.
Falsity was the second major Verity variant to emerge, created by YouTuber xqree on June 17th, 2026, in the video “The Verity Mod had a SEQUEL,” which racked up over 2.3 million views and 64,000 likes in just a few months.
