The controversial Kool-Aid pineapple food trend is taking over social media, and one of the most viral videos to come out of it has everyone saying, "Dat bih gah."

While the phrase might seem like nonsense, it's quickly becoming one of the hottest memes and online slang terms of the summer, as many social media users find it impossible to keep out of their day-to-day conversations.

So, what does "dat bih gah" even mean, and where did it come from? Here's what you need to know.

What Does 'Dat Bih Gah' Mean?

"Dat bih gah" comes from a viral video of a child taste testing Kool-Aid pineapple, a recent food trend that involves soaking slices of pineapple in Kool-Aid to alter the flavor (and also dye it various colors).

In the video, which went viral on X / Twitter at the end of May 2026, the kid, who posts to TikTok under the name @braydenharrelson1, looks at the Kool-Aid pineapple and says what sounds like, "Dih bih tuff." Then, after taking a bite, he says what sounds like, "Dat bih gah," and daps up the seller.

What the kid actually says is "this b---h tuff" and then "that b---h gas," using the prominent slang terms "tuff" and "gas" to essentially call the Kool-Aid pineapple "good."

How Is 'Dat Bih Gah' Used In Memes?

Since going viral on X / Twitter, viewers claim that they can't stop saying "dat bih gah" and "dih bih tuff" in their real lives. Essentially, they're using the terms to call things "gas" and "tuff" while directly referencing the viral video.

Beyond that, the "Dat Bih Gah" kid has now become something of a meme celebrity. He was interviewed about the meme, and he's quickly become the subject of brainrot edits, Accuracy Reenactments and more on TikTok and X.

The kid is also helping spread and contribute to the discourse about Kool-Aid pineapple that has been going viral, with many finding the drink particularly disgusting due to its high sugar content.
