What Is The 'We'll Drive A Funky Ehh' Meme?

The "Funky Ehh" meme comes from a Fortnite prank video by YouTuber cloudxxs posted on June 15th, 2026. In the video, the YouTuber trolls players to try and get funny reactions out of them.

About halfway into the video, the YouTuber shares a clip of a kid who sings a viral remix of the song "Someone to Call My Lover" by Janet Jackson.

The remix, which blew up on TikTok in 2025, replaces the word "car" in the lyrics "he'll drive a funky car" with an "mmm" noise.

The kid incorrectly believes that the remix is by the recently deceased musician Oliver Tree, when it's actually by prodloudz. He then plays the remix for the YouTuber and again sings, "we'll drive a funky ehh."

How Is 'We'll Drive A Funky Ehh' Used In Memes?

The "Funky Ehh" clip was posted on TikTok and Reels by cloudxxs and went viral at the end of June 2026, leading into July. Viewers found both the way the kid sings "funky ehh" and the incorrect connection to Oliver Tree funny and turned the clip into a meme.

Some of the most popular memes associate the "ehh" sound with an image of Gumball Watterson from The Amazing World of Gumball making a heated, sighing face, suggesting that the face looks like it would be saying "ehh."

Other memes include animations that visually interpret the audio, lip dub and dance videos, and full-on remixes that set the voice to a beat.
