Canadian rapper Drake fans have been waiting a long time for the release of his new album Iceman, and now they're going to have to wait for a giant ice block pyramid to melt.

The structure was recently built in downtown Toronto and advertised by Drake as having the release date for the rap album hidden inside it. Some fans aren't so eager to wait for the pyramid to melt, though.

Here's what you need to know about Drake's viral Iceman marketing stunt and why it's trending online right now.

What Is The 'Iceman Structure' In Toronto?

The Iceman structure was built for a viral marketing campaign in Toronto, Canada, on April 20th, 2026, and announced by Drake via an Instagram story that same day.

In the Story, Drake shares the exact coordinates to the pyramid and writes, "Release Date Inside." This quickly attracted fans to the location at Dundas and Bond Street.

The structure itself is made up of many individual, solid ice blocks that are proving hard to chip away at or even melt, although Drake's fans seem happy to keep trying, including streamers.

How Is Social Media Reacting To The 'Iceman Structure'?

Drake's Iceman structure has been going viral across social media since it went up. Some of the most viral content about the structure shows people chipping away at it and trying to melt it down.

Specifically, a lot of these clips come from streamer Kishka, who went to the structure with a bunch of friends, got on top of it, and lit a fire to try to melt through the ice.

During the same stream, the streamer and his friends broke a large chunk of ice off the pyramid with a sledgehammer. This actually resulted in a police call and, reportedly, a temporary shutdown of the structure, although that appears to have been lifted.

Others are spreading misinformation and posting AI videos of crowds of people attacking the ice blocks, including with flamethrowers and other absurd tools.
