Some people just aren't very good at speaking English properly. Most English speakers aren't great at speaking other languages either, so it's not like we can judge them.

The thing is, some people are so bad at it that it's honestly pretty embarrassing, not because they're just trying to communicate with us, but because they took a job as a translator between two languages when they clearly don't know the latter very well. It doesn't really seem like a fitting career field, right?

If you've ever seen a very poorly translated sign, you're not alone, because lots of other people have, too, and they're sharing their favorite translation mishaps online. This has spread to the online spaces we inhabit, from product listings on Amazon to YouTube comment sections.
