Most of the time, memes should not be used in advertising. It doesn't matter what they're advertising, as they just really don't work. It's just difficult for Arby's or your local church to replicate internet humor.

Instead, they almost always come off as a pathetic attempt to win over the younger generation's approval for their product, service or religious movement. And it clearly doesn't have that effect.

Corporate memes generally exist only to make everyone uncomfortable, and we don't think these attempts at meme marketing led to any actual success. Honestly, there's a good chance someone was fired after posting these to their company social media page.

Now, instead of earning new fans of these products, there are a lot more people who shake their heads and disapprove of what they're seeing, because it's honestly really awkward and leaves us a little bit concerned about the people who made these.
