15 Awkward Moments Where Someone Didn't Know Who They Were Talking To

Everyone is on the internet these days. Everyone has an account on everything, which means even the biggest celebrities and all of the experts out there have social media accounts. There is no saying who is going to see what you post so it's best to know who you're talking to before making any big accusations or statements. Not knowing this might just put you in a position of trying to correct an expert, which is embarrassing, but it happens surprisingly often.

Reddit's /r/dontyouknowwhoiam is a subreddit that features hundreds of accounts of people saying things and then immediately finding out they were talking to the wrong person. In most cases, someone asking the question "Don't you know who I am?" is pretentious, but in these cases, it is totally warranted. Here are just 15 times someone did not realize who they were talking to, and it gets super awkward.

He just doesn't understand

Gord Miller @GMillerTSN I understand soccer well, I covered two World Cups and have watched it closely for years. You can debate whether or not it's a foul, but it's clearly embellishment and is terrible for the image of game. The most common response I get when I say I'm a soccer fan is about diving. Chandler Barton @Chan_man0 • 1h Canadians can't stop themselves from proving they don't understand soccer. This is clearly a foul. If you're running full speed and someone clips your trail foot, you're going to lose your balance. x.com/gmillertsn/sta... 1:01 PM Jul 10, 2024 108.5K Views 66 1726 563 口。 ↑
