Not to lump a whole bunch of people into one category, but some Americans just say a little too much. The idea that Americans are not super knowledgeable about anywhere other than their own country is not an uncommon one, but seeing that stereotype in action is truly shocking. While being happy with and proud of where you live is important, some people, especially Americans, take it a little too far. Some of these folks are so patriotic they make wild assumptions and spread insane opinions about other countries, and it all just gets to be a little embarrassing at times.
