15 Terrible Responses From Google's Annoying 'AI Overview'
Google has recently launched a feature that isn't doing anyone any good. It's known as the "AI Overview," and it scans websites to regurgitate what it believes to be the most relevant information. It also takes up most of the screen and pulls other sites' information into a jumbled mess of keywords. Even better, the AI doesn't work very well at all. It's constantly misinterpreting data and spewing out information that's just plain wrong.
This AI has managed to infuriate just about everyone, and is apparently driving traffic away from millions of websites in the process. It's really not proving to be useful, especially since many top searches on Google are variations of "how do I turn off AI Overview," and yet there's no official way to turn it off for good. And it's not getting things right, either. From telling users to drink urine to recommending a recipe for toxic chlorine gas as a fridge cleaner, there are some pretty serious things it's gotten wrong. Here are 15 times Google's AI had no idea what it was talking about.
