Everyone needs to stop falling for these clever marketing campaigns, by now everyone knows the newest fast food item is too good to be true. It always is. The photo that is plastered up on the billboard or on the screen is always some delectable gourmet meal, but has it ever turned out that way? No. It doesn't just happen with fast food. Food products found in stores, especially frozen meals, always look so good on the box, but everyone knows there is no way the microwave is producing such a masterpiece.

For some reason, over and over again, people keep believing these clever marketing photos and time and time again they result in so much disappointment. Reddit's /r/ExpectationvsReality is a subreddit where users come together to share their biggest disappointments and mildly infuriating moments of things gone wrong. Here are some of those times where the photo advertised did not equate to the truth of the product.
