Every once in a while, the community at "Aged Like Milk starts" trending again on Reddit. After the deaths of major figures, such as Prince Philip, a lot of jokes online made us look like terrible people, so this cycle continues with Redditors dredging up old photos, tweets and comments that definitely didn't age well and range from hilarious to cringeworthy.

We had very different expectations a decade ago, and we were sorely disappointed to discover how wrong we were about the future.

In the past, we may have glorified celebrities like Bill Cosby or dreamed of a world where we could interact with others only virtually, without it being super annoying, and the only form of communication we had left. The world has taken a turn, and our predictions from years ago (or even days ago, in extreme cases) have spoiled like rotten milk left in the sun for weeks.
