There are plenty of things you can buy from IKEA, like tables, chairs, bookshelves and beds. Apparently, you can also get pets and animals there too.

At least that's the theory behind the "IKEA Pets" community, a subreddit dedicated to animals that look like they were assembled from a flat-packed box and somehow came out slightly wrong.

The concept is simple. A cat is sitting at an unusual angle, so someone decides it must have been assembled incorrectly. A dog is missing a visible limb, and suddenly everyone is wondering which bag the missing piece was supposed to be in.

Some pets appear to have been put together upside down. Others seem to be missing essential components. A few look like their owners accidentally mixed up the assembly bags and simply decided to continue anyway.

Then there are the pets that seem to have been assembled correctly, but only technically.

Their legs are in strange positions. Their heads are facing the wrong direction. Their bodies appear to have been installed at an angle that was never shown in the manual. And occasionally, an animal looks so completely ridiculous that the only reasonable explanation is that somebody ignored the instructions entirely.

This collection features pets that appear to have been assembled incorrectly, shipped with missing parts or put together by someone who absolutely refused to read the manual.

Some are upside down. Some are backwards. And at least a few probably should have been returned to the warehouse.
