If there is anything that the Internet can agree on, it is a love for animals, especially quirky, special, or particularly adorable animals. Every once in a while, a special baby animal comes along with an interesting story or personality, and the Internet adopts it for all the right reasons. Whether it be a penguin on a solo journey or a baby hippo with a lot of attitude, baby animals bring people together.

By now, everyone has heard of Punch the Monkey. This baby monkey is a macaque, and he resides at the Ichikawa City Zoo in Japan. After being abandoned by his mother, he was hand-raised by zookeepers, and given a plush monkey mother from IKEA, whom he quickly attached himself to. Punch became a hot topic after he was put into the enclosure with other macaques to make friends, and unfortunately, it did not go well.

Since then, Punch has been seen making friends, but the Internet was quick to come to Punch's defence, garnering so much support, and people who were ready to go save him and get revenge. Punch is the Internet's newest baby, and here is just some of what people are saying.
