The DIY phenomenon is everywhere, and everyone's at least experimented with it at some point. While it can be fun for a craft or a temporary fix around the house, it shouldn't be taken extremely seriously. Sometimes, people DIY things so often that they become convinced they're great at DIYing their way through life, but it's not always advisable. People will go to great lengths to avoid hiring a professional or going to the store.

The following people have taken DIYing too far. They've created things that are frankly pretty disturbing, and while some of them are funny and harmless, others are definitely a risk to public safety, because building codes can't be enforced when something's made completely unprofessionally. These projects will undoubtedly not last very long, but for the time being, they're pretty regrettable nonetheless (except the tire Predator, that one's kind of cool).
