The world's No. 1 professional golfer Scottie Scheffler was arrested this morning by Louisville, Kentucky police outside of the Valhalla Golf Course hosting the 2024 PGA Championship. In turn, Scottie Scheffler memes are all over social media today.

As reported by ESPN's Jeff Darlington, Scheffler was detained early Friday morning after driving past police cars blockading the tournament. Scheffler reportedly drove over the sidewalk to get by what he believed were security vehicles. An officer reportedly held onto Scheffler's vehicle and was dragged for a few yards.

Scheffler was then aggressively handcuffed and put into a cruiser car. All this happened on the day after his first child was born.

In the hours after his arrest, Scheffler was booked and processed through the Louisville Metro Police Department on four charges, including assault of a police officer, criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding signals from an officer directing traffic. Plus, a now infamous mugshot is already circling the web.

It's safe to say that Scheffler's arrest has rocked the professional golf world. The American (who many consider to be the best golfer in the world) joins the likes of other famous golfers whose mugshots have gone viral, like Tiger Woods and John Daly.
