Things don't always go according to plan. Even the most well-thought-out and executed plans can fail. People make plans that go wrong all the time. There are many reasons a plan could fail. Maybe it was made badly, maybe someone ruined it, or maybe there were uncalculated risks and errors. Whatever the reason might be, a plan going poorly is always disappointing for the person whose plan it is. For others, though, sometimes it's kind of funny to see people fail so badly at something. It's especially funny when someone is overly confident about a clearly terrible idea. It's okay to laugh at some of these failures, not all of them are that serious, and some deserve the criticism.

Reddit's /r/therewasanattempt is a subreddit where people share all of the times plans and ideas have gone poorly online. Celebrities, news stations, animals, and more, have all been victims of failed plans. Here are 23 of them to poke some fun at today.
