When someone thinks of a dystopian world, usually they would think of a setting found in a book, TV show, or movie. Rarely do people see this world as a dystopian one. It is a very strange world everyone lives in; there is so much technology, so many companies and brands, and so many people and events in the media. It's hard to keep up sometimes. When taking an alternate look at things, this world could be seen as dystopian, just a very boring kind. Maybe things aren't as exciting or insane as the places in the books, but there are some truly odd aspects of life to consider.

Reddit's /r/aboringdystopia, is a subreddit where people share all of the most interesting, infuriating, or otherwise strange parts of life that just seem a little off. Like, if someone from another planet were to see these things, they might be really confused. Here are 24 examples of how this planet might be its very own dystopia.
