Why would you give a normal answer to something when you can give an answer that's just technically the truth.

Having an answer ready for something that isn't quite what anyone was expecting, but is still somehow correct, is the best kind of answer someone can give. People who are technically right about something can't be argued with either, because they're just so right about whatever it is they are talking about.

These technically true comments are in the same realm as dad jokes. They are slightly unexpected, and then become very obvious. They are sarcastic and silly and annoy people in the same kind of way.

These sorts of statements are so popular that there is a whole subreddit for them. Reddit's "Technically the Truth" is the subreddit for everything that is right, but not quite what was asked for.

Here are 25 of those moments of technical truth that everyone gets.
