Companies often think they are earning points with teens when they include references their generation will understand. It's rare for a company to effectively market through memes, though they try so hard that we can't help but feel a little bad for them. However, a lot of the time it's done so horribly wrong that we can't even tell what we're looking at, and if we can tell, we wish we didn't have eyes, and we never can look at our favorite meme formats the same way again.
Most companies have no idea how to properly use a meme, and even if they do understand it, they usually do such a bad job of it that it's like looking at some off-putting propaganda. From cringeworthy Twitter advertisements to pretending to read off the IP addresses of people who call them out for their bad memes, these companies didn't really succeed in making memes about their products.
