Everyone has seen those strange, blunt and shallow 'deep' posts around the Internet. They generally consist of a drawn comic or an image along with an inspirational quote or metaphor for something. These deep posts are loved by the younger generation probably because they think they are discovering something super groundbreaking and they make them feel different from everyone else.

That's why Reddit's /r/Im14AndThisIsDeep, is called that. This subreddit is full of the kinds of deep, inspirational, and "we live in a society" types of posts that are usually found on Facebook and weirdly enough, more recently, YouTube Shorts. To most people, the message that these posts are trying to convey is pretty obvious, pretty overdone, and pretty close-minded.
