25 Depressingly Truthful Memes

Memes are meant to make people laugh. They are humorous bits of media that bring people together through laughter and sometimes some light bullying. Sometimes though memes get a little too real. While memes are meant to entertain, they can also educate and make people think a little deeper. Memes speak hard truths and real facts in an enjoyable way. They can be both funny and sad at the same time. It makes sense though, memes come out all the time so for some of them to depict real life situations is just to be expected.

Reddit's /r/FunnyAndSad is a subreddit full of memes that are a little too real. They make hard pills to swallow a little easier, in a "spoonful of sugar" sort of way. Still though, thinking about these can be a little daunting and upsetting, so try not to think about them too long. Here are 25 memes that are both joyfully funny and painfully sad at the same time.

House Ownership Is a Dead Dream

Eric Hoke @erichoke Remember friend. A $5 iced latte a day is $25 a week, $100 a month, $1200 a year. After 10 years.. that's $12,000! Which is still nowhere near enough to put a down payment on a house so enjoy your espresso in peace.
