Have you ever looked at something in a store and thought to yourself, "I could do that on my own?" Apparently, a lot of us have, but that doesn't mean we should do it. A lot of the time, it's better to just spend the money than to spend countless hours trying to create something that turns out nothing like what we'd hoped for. And honestly, we can't be surprised by how badly some of these things came out, because the images you're about to see include lots of projects that should never, ever be DIYed. These things were better left to professionals, or just not done at all.

Often, DIY projects turn into DIY fails, and some are far worse than others. Some of the worst ones have been collected in this article, so they can hopefully serve as a reminder to never, ever create something that shouldn't be created. But whether it's a dangerous car modification or food that looks pretty disgusting and should never, ever be eaten, they can be pretty entertaining, as long as you're not driving behind one of them on the highway. Here are some of our favorite new DIY fails.
