We've all attempted to DIY something at some point in our lives. Maybe it was successful, but more often than not, these projects don't quite turn out as we'd hoped. A good DIY project is like a work of art.

The following images might technically be DIY projects, but they're about as far from art as you can get. In fact, some of them are just a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Each of these photos captures a creation that should never have been made. Thanks to some people who have a little too much creativity and a lot more free time than the rest of us, there are a lot of them out there. There's a whole subgenre of images dedicated to them, known as DIY fails, and they are certainly worse than they sound.

Even better, lots of people try to actually sell these things on secondhand sites, as if anyone would want them. Here are some of our favorite examples of DIY gone wrong.
