Over the past week, the internet has become enamored with a baby pygmy hippo from Thailand. Her name is Moo-Deng, and she's incredibly cute (but if you're here, you probably know that already). Moo-Deng was born in July 2024, and ever since, she's been behaving like an adorable semi-aquatic puppy, winning over the hearts of millions, particularly after she reacted rather dramatically to being sprayed by a hose.

Many people have shared new photos and videos of Moo-Deng (whose name means "bouncy pork"), and millions more are making and sharing memes about her. It seems no one really knew just how adorable hippos actually are, or perhaps Moo-Deng is an anomaly among her species, but either way, the baby hippo is having her well-earned moment in the spotlight.
