Oversharing is something we have all been victims of. We have all caught an unfortunate case of word vomit before, and while it's usually embarrassing, it passes, at least that's the case when it happens in real life.

When people overshare in the real world, it's usually to fill an awkward silence or something. Sometimes it's done out of anxiety and desperation. There usually is some sort of excuse for it, but online, there is no excuse though. When commenting on the internet, there is always the option to take back that comment. Even if it's been sent out, it can be deleted.

It's just cringe to see someone make a totally unrelated comment that is telling a little too much. Was it for attention? Sympathy? To feel better about yourself? Yikes all around.
