Along with everything else, shopping has changed a lot over the decades. Many people have fond memories of shopping trips with their parents or buying presents for holidays. People have memories of going to the mall with their friends as teenagers or meeting for lunch in the food court. Shopping has always been a significant part of many people's lives for many reasons. It's interesting, though, to see how much not only the stores have changed but the act of shopping in general. Some stores are gone, some are different, and the items inside are brand-new.

Of course, as technology advances places like video rental stores and vinyl stores have become less common, replaced by big electronics stores. The new, modern stores are fun and all, but it's also fun and interesting to look back at the stores people used to shop at in the past. It's also cool to see how people dressed, hung out, and what people bought in the past compared to now. Crowds were also smaller, places were quieter, and there are many other changes.

Here, we have collected 25 images of shopping trips throughout the decades. From Christmas shopping to record shopping and everything in between. This is how people spent their free time and their money.
