Many moments from the past have been captured on film and shared online for all to see and enjoy. Things have evolved a lot throughout the years, and one of the major developments is the normalization of cameras. Everyone has a camera on them these days, and they capture moments and memories in color. Back in the mid and early 1900s, this was not the case.
Color images and film were not yet common in the 1940s, resulting in a lot of history being remembered in black and white. However, when Kodachrome was released in 1935, people began to document life in color. This was a revolutionary change that people enjoyed, and Kodachrome photos have a certain kind of vintage beauty to them.
Instead of remembering the past as colorless, enjoy some images from the 1940 and 1950s that were captured in beautiful color. Enjoy this blast to the past through 25 colorful images of history.
