There is a thin line between a good meme and a bad meme. There are a ton of great memes out there, but then probably a whole lot more terrible ones. Though a bad meme may be bad, cringeworthy and hard to look at, they don't deserve to be made even worse. There are tons of social media accounts, especially on Instagram, that repost memes, which is fine, but what isn't fine is the terrible captions users add to them. A bad caption can make a good meme bad and a bad meme worse.

Whether it is a caption filled with useless emojis, too many capitalized exclamations or just more memes piled on top, it's pretty bad to see one of these totally mangled memes. Reddit's community /r/ComedyHomicide is a subreddit that showcases these terrible crimes committed against memes, resulting in their absolute demise (even if they were awful before). These images are full of red circles, laughing-crying emojis, and terrible memes no one is enjoying.
