The internet goes through phases, fads and trends come and go all the time. At one point in time Tumblr was the social media site everyone was on, especially the younger crowd. It was a totally customizable social media site where users could make their profiles look exactly how they wanted and they could share virtually anything. Fandoms were huge on that site as well, which attracted certain kinds of people. Eventually, the site went through ownership changes and with their policies changing a lot of users left.
