It becomes very clear, very quickly, what kinds of people never learned the phrase "beggars can't be choosers". It means that people need to be grateful for the things they are given in life and not take advantage of those who are generous and giving. There are some people out there who expect way too much and make some insane demands to total strangers. Some people have no clue what is appropriate and what is not.

The extent of the items some people will ask for is truly insane. Some individuals truly think that it is okay for them to ask for whatever they want whenever they want, for free or extremely cheap. Some of these entitled people even become angry when they are not given what they want, making things so much worse. They will ask for anything from a free TV to free childcare from anyone.
