We live in a strange world. There is no doubt that there are a lot of really odd, uncomfortable things that go on every day. With technology advancing so rapidly, it is making it even stranger to live in. When someone thinks of a dystopian society, they generally think of the kind of corrupt worlds that exist in movies, shows and books. It's hard to think of what life would be like in some of these societies. When you step back, though, and take a look around, the reality is that life these days isn't too far off being somewhat dystopian, it's just kind of a boring one. The world may not have the extremes that the worlds in the movies do, but it does have some other pretty concerning and odd elements.

Reddit's /r/aboringdystopia is a subreddit where people can share the things they see in the world that just seem a little off. Advertising everywhere, issues with housing and money, technology taking over… These are all things that contribute to this boring dystopia everyone lives in.
