26 Insane Posts From Mom Groups On Facebook

Facebook groups have become a helpful tool over the years for many people and many reasons. Facebook groups are places where people with similar hobbies, interests, and lifestyles can come together to create a community. People can share stories, ask and answer questions, and find friends in these groups. One of the more popular kinds of groups is parenting groups.

Parenting groups bring new and seasoned parents together. Ones with similar parenting methods and similar situations. While this kind of group might seem great and totally harmless, there is a wild side to them. The things some moms will share in these groups are truly shocking. It's like they forget that this is all public information. To see what goes on behind these groups, Reddit has tons of examples. From insane questions to incriminating stories, the stuff people say online is absurd. Here are 26 wild Facebook posts from parenting groups.

Oh boy…

I FOR REAL need an answer to this. How do you keep up with college hours... my daughter is not a partier... not at all...having said that, she's staying up late/ chatting with people etc etc trying to find the sober scene. I can't seem to go to bed until I know she's in her dorm. Does this get better or is my 40-something year old destined to stay up and never get rest... How do you let go? (Freshmen year here) like for real.... (There is NO WAY I'm alone in this) 6 34 comments

The play police

10:06 Anonymous member .32m What's up with all these preschools being 'play based' and not academic? It's only October and I've pulled my 3yr old out of two different preschools because all they do is play all day. My mom watches my kids, so if he's going to spend all day just playing, he may as well play at home for free instead of spending $1600 per month. As a teacher, this is very concerning. I decided that I would teach him in the evenings, and I've given my mom ideas of what to do. to work with him during the weekdays while I'm at work. It's only been a week since we pulled him and he's already made great strides with recognizing letters of the alphabet. It's a shame I can't find a preschool that actually gets them prepared for TK... Parasites. Case closed.

What…

**I just wanted all you parents to know that the FAA does NOT have a strict rule on where to change your child's diaper!** We recently flew United to Hawaii, the first plane ride was wonderful and we had great stewardesses (one was a mother and completely understood we literally want our child to be comfortable). The 2nd plane ride we had terrible stewardesses (just mean and not listening to us) and kept saying the FAA says you can't change a diaper on the seats because it's unsanitary. Our son is not even 2, he still wears diapers, and he is HUGE. He cannot fit on the changing table and is too little to understand he needs to stay standing on the toilet seat to change him. So our only other option was changing them in our seats. So we double checked as soon as we got settled, and there are NO rules set by the FAA saying you NEED to change your child on the changing seat or the toilet seat is false. ✓ Like 38 ☐ Comment Send

Is that a thing?

☑ Anonymous member 16m. Hair emergency!!! My daughter has long, thick hair. She doesn't always brush it as well as she should, plus we also took her to a big outdoor concert recently too, which made it wilder than usual. Now it has a big matted area in the back, that, after 2 days of major wide-tooth combing and every oil, cream, and detangler I can think of, STILL isn't out!!! We don't want to cut it out, but I have no more tricks up my sleeve. I saw online that some people are suggesting WD-40! Is that seriously a thing?! Will it hurt her/ her hair? Other ideas? Any hair professionals who are matted hair magicians? Help please!

Maybe it's that second moon…

So I experienced the most digestive upset around the moons which I hear this is due to parasites. I have suspected MCAS and I'm very very sensitive to detoxing so I was wondering if anybody knew of extremely extremely gentle way to lessen the torture of parasites while I work on my histamine tolerance so I can get rid of such wild discomfort during the new and full moons. Thanks ♥1 8 comments

Oh please

Anonymous member 3m Good morning! As mom to a nearly three year old and an eight month old, I'm new to navigating Hallowe'en. We walk by the very elaborate decorations at the intersection of Dr and Dr every day, and drive past multiple times. We are doing our best to avoid this intersection but sometimes its unavoidable! I'd love some advice on how to talk to my older kiddo about these decorations, including two 20' angry skeletons, multiple people/body parts coming out of the ground, and a skeleton pointing a water gun... among others. I'm trying to get over my feelings of disgust for how insensitive these decorations are to recognize these homeowners are very enthusiastic about Hallowe'en and are just clearly not thinking about the impact this could have on kids, and recognizing we're going to have to pass these hundreds of times over the coming years! We are into a very curious "why" stage with my kiddo, and a fascination with the human body- we can leverage this for the skeletons I think, but I'm worried other parts of these decorations are the stuff of nightmares (not just my own-ha!)... thoughts and suggestions? Thanks so much in advance! Like Comment Send

Canned milk?

June of last year I canned some milk and some chocolate milk. I had never done chocolate milk before. Its been in my pantry almost a year and I pretty much forgot about it till yesterday. I put a pint of it in the refrigerator to get cold. I drank some today. So far I'm still alive after drinking year old chocolate milk. No hair growing out of strange places and my urge to bite people is still at its normal level. So I'm gonna say my chocolate milk was a success. 23 arvest 150 24 comments

Yikes

na P Anonymous member ⚫ 1h. So, I recently had an "interesting" encounter at a school function. Another mom approached me and let me know that her daughter has been "bullied" by my daughter. She seemed pretty worked up about it, but honestly, they're in 11th grade. Shouldn't they be working this out themselves? I mean, at this point, they're practically adults. If her daughter doesn't like something someone says now, what's going to happen when she's at work? Is her mom going to show up there too? And let's be real for a second-if you send your kid to school in T.J. Maxx clothes with no care for her appearance, you can't expect her to be treated like a queen. I'm not saying my daughter's behavior is perfect, but I think there's a bigger picture here. You've got to teach kids how to handle the real world, not shelter them from every hard conversation. Anyway, just my two cents. Maybe we need to stop hovering and let these girls grow up, because no one's showing up to "fight their battles" when they're 25 and out in the real world. Anonymous member 32m 8 . Am I wrong for telling my stepmom she can't use my food stamp anymore. So I let her use my stamp since she letting me stay at her house for free but she told me she was only grabbing a couple of things. So I get a notification when ever my stamp was use and she use $200 worth of my stamp and I haven't use it yet and it just got deposit into my account on the 23rd. So I ask did she spend that amount and she said she getting food for the house and I been told her to not get food for me cause I don't eat pork like they do. Then she made a remarked saying do it matter since I'm staying with her for free but I'm only get $325 a month; now I can't get food for myself or any baby food. I don't even sell my stamp and I was doing that cause I live with her but she's so inconsiderate that she didn't even buy me anything with my own stamps. She whine bout not affording food when she have a whole husband in the house. 3h 8 So we have a $12000 NICU bill after insurance, and got denied financial assistance from the hospital and government assistance... but we don't have $12,000 to pay out of pocket. Everyone is telling me to let it go to collections, bc medical debt can't hurt your credit? Is this true? What do I do? "Unschooling"

Anonymous member Apr 11, 2023 • I know schooling is a struggle for a lot of our kids but I'm really struggling to get my 9 year old to read. We've been unschooling this year as other approaches placed to much demand on him. I have tried every possible way under the sun to teach him to read. I know he wants to be able to read but he also refuses to even remotely try to learn. Any materials or books or apps I try to use he says are for babies. He won't even do the alphabet song bc it's for babies. He's a smart kid and more than capable. Does anyone else deal with this. I feel like my kid is the only kid that can't read at this age and like I'm just failing him. I've taught my 3 other kids to read but he's my most spicy child out of all of them. 5 69 comments
