26 'Super Smart' People Flaunting Their Intelligence On The Web

Intelligence and education are important endeavours for many folks all around the world. Pursuing degrees and advanced levels of knowledge is rewarding and interesting for many. It's great to feel smart, but some people take their intelligence (or perceived intelligence) too far. Being smart and using intelligence to help people is great, it's when it's used to boast and embarrass people that it gets bad.

The internet is full of self-proclaimed geniuses who like to think they are the smartest person in every room. They purposefully use unnecessary and confusing vocabulary to talk down to people, they share their IQs online and they shake their heads at those who enjoy meaningless entertainment. These kinds of people are so cringeworthy, but they're fun to laugh at.

Reddit's /r/iamverysmart is a sarcastically titled subreddit where users share the "smartest" people they come across online. Get ready for some intense amounts of cringe, it gets bad. Here are 26 "super smart" people who need everyone to know how smart they really are.

Is that being smart?

My IQ is 144. Here's how my brain works. I tend to think logically, so much so that I can't tell when people are joking or if they are being serious...I only hear the words they say. Sarcasm is lost on me, although I can dish it out. I look at every situation from both sides, and tend to point

We should be honoured

h ago (edited) I'm also more than likely the most intelligent person you will ever actually communicate with in your life. I doubt we could hold a conversation and actually understand each other. If you want to make a coy attempt to describe my "level" of intelligence. I get bored with kids at Harvard. Not bored by a numbing of my mind at not understanding. But at the fact even there people tend to be slow to grasp complexity and with any sort of speed. Tho speed is mix much more common in that setting. Met some fast minds. Fast and deep tho. That is so very rare. 16

Being smart is a curse

r/Deep Thoughts 11h Join Being smart is a curse and can prevent you from having a healthy life and participating normally in society. I wish I was dumber. I'm not here to say I'm a genius but I feel like I'm sharp enough to understand a little bit about a lot of things. But the more I learn about the world and deconstruct every illusion I was born with, the more miserable I become. Knowledge isn't power. Knowledge is a disability. I recently met up with a childhood friend who is wildly successful yet a complete and total idiot. He doesn't know that he's ignorant about how the world really works. He doesn't experience cringe feelings because he doesn't even realize he's being cringe. This gives him the superpower to just do hard things without overthinking them. I sort of envy him because it would be nice to not know anything and live blissfully in your ignorance. Being a small fish in a large ocean suka. Being a fish in a fish tank is fantastic. 780 ♡ 478 2 324

25 years in Mensa

5h ago If you don't want to apologize, acting like a boor is hardly the way to do it. Nope, it's not what I said. Everyone reading the thread can see that. You don't want to apologize. Fine. Take your wounded pride elsewhere. Meanwhile, in my office I have a plaque congratulating me on 25 years in Mensa. I'm not worried about your opinion or snide remarks.

Q 1 Probabilistic equilibrium can be altered in favor of this position based on expansion of diagnostic criteria being sufficient to include neurotypicals, societal trends producing a desire to be considered autistic and the causal extensions of these temporal features. Answer this inquiry; Are you unable to observe the surrounding environment to detect these trends or do you need an individual of authoritative positionality within the scientific community to inform you? о ☑

Make them regret!

12h- Being super smart is so satisfying in today's societal construct. Maneuver....act.......win. Be patient, they are not capable of surviving your mental acuity. Crush their ambitions with overwhelming predication and make them regret the web they dared to tread upon. 3 4 comments Like Comment Copy

Only low IQ normies like pop music

12h ago I actually liked the RNC roll call better than the DNC's roll call. I'm not big into theatrics, I understand it works great for lower level thinking people but I'm not so easily entertained and fooled either. 39

What are they trying to say?

is feeling fed up. Found out recently that quite a bit of men identity greater intelligence in women as a threat. Undoubtedly, there is a correlation between intelligence and masculinity. The ego is a fragile thing. Most conversations remain rather two-dimensional, and that feels rather insufficient when attempting to relate to another. It's practically as if people have lost interest in the art of conversation and simply view it as redundant. It's a shame. I apologize for any offense when establishing this statement. But yes, eloquence is an actively decaying trait in the modern day. Who knew diction could suffer from gangrene as well. Nowadays, people's tongues only manifest into existence when presented with an opportunity in wagging them. Minds, tongues, and hearts are lost if never utilized.

This guy Excels

This chart they used to scare you in a con job. That scary 45 degree angle climate in CO2 looks alarming doesn't it? I dare you to do what I did and download their data for that chart and on Excel create a new spreadsheet and enter the data. Then from that data create a new chart but instead of the bottom starting at 310 parts per million start it at ZERO and the top at 1,000,000. The data is in Part per million so use 1 million for the top number. What you get is real perspective. It's a flat line across the bottom. The con job is using 410 ppm so they get a scary 45 degree angle climate. That my friends is how they use statistics to lie to you. Go ahead do it for yourself and see for yourself. This is how I analyze data with critical thinking skills 1h Like Renly

He figured it out

3d Ah, I just figured it out. Reddit is a social experiment and filtering tool designed to identify and locate all of the stupidest people with big opinions and giant judgements, based upon absolutely no knowledge or experience or judgement, largely informed by other social media content. It's inspired. But what is the goal... : Reply ୪ -15 ->

What?

"ya" instead of "you" Someone's pretty much done for me on this alone. It's almost the definitive marker of being from "low" culture. Pairing it with a "low" epithet like "tiprat" ("flog" or "gronk" apply here also) seals the deal. An absolute peasant. Worth one fæ in his general direction and then never to be bothered with again. 11m Like Reply r/iamverysmart
