There are signs everywhere, and for the most part, they are clear, plain, and get messages across effectively. Signs are there to direct people so they don't get lost, to advertise businesses and services, and to inform people of other interesting tidbits of information. At the end of the day, though, people don't really remember all the signs they see, unless they are funny or weird.

Signs block pretty views, get in the way, and are sometimes kind of ugly. No one likes their vision being bombarded with signage and advertising they didn't ask for. The only way to solve this issue is to give people something they want to read. Funny and interesting signs make people less mad about having to see them.
