It isn't uncommon for students to pack up their belongings and head down to their local coffee shop to study. All the good vibes, quiet atmosphere and, of course, unlimited coffee and snacks, make it a great option for some students. This kind of activity doesn't come without some criticism though. How long is an appropriate amount of time to take up a table? Should cafés and coffee shops be studying spots for students when other people want those tables? It's all hard to say for certain. How about when someone comes along and asks for a table someone else has been sitting at for hours? What if the person has a disability where they might need to sit? All of these questions and more came up when this Reddit user was approached while studying in her local coffee shop one morning.

This user has made it a habit to spend a few hours at their local coffee shop every weekend. Seemingly, they have had no issues with this arrangement up until this particular day. They were approached by someone asking them to move so she and her friend could sit at OP's table, to which OP declined. Was the reaction on either end appropriate? How about the coffee shop owners? The comments were kind of split, decide for yourself with the original story and popular comments below.
