Not everything needs to be a DIY project. In fact, most things should not be attempted to be made at home. DIY projects can be fun and creative, or they can be frustrating and hard, but people take them on for many reasons. Some people like to avoid professionals and save money by doing it themselves, others like to add some character to their homes. Some people just like the challenge, too.

There are varying difficulties of crafts, though. Professionals exist because not every laborious project can be learnt online, which is why there are schools. People who try to do things without the proper training could end up with a tacky DIY failure. DIY fails are a terrible waste of time, energy, and money.
