One of 2025's biggest TikTok memes is the "White Rabbit Pointing at A Clock" meme, and now it's being revived thanks to the tragic "Rabbit Got Me" trend.

The trend is all about TikTokers sharing the devastating moments when "the rabbit got them," combining the ideas behind the White Rabbit meme and the related "All Roads Lead to Rome" trend.

But what exactly does it mean when the rabbit gets you, and why is the trend so popular? Here's what you need to know.

What Is The 'Rabbit Got Me' Meme?

To understand the "Rabbit Got Me" meme, you need to understand the "White Rabbit Pointing at a Clock" meme and the related memes about the phrase, "All roads lead to Rome."

In 2025, a piece of art depicting Alice In Wonderland's White Rabbit pointing at a clock became a big meme on TikTok. In the context of TikTok, the meme is often used as an ominous way to remind people that time is running out in relation to a given subject.

This meme blew up when it was combined with the phrase "All roads lead to Rome," which is most commonly used on TikTok to suggest that all romantic relationships eventually end in heartbreak — it's only a matter of time.

Then, in November 2025, TikTokers started expanding on the memes with videos about "the rabbit," meaning the White Rabbit, "getting" them.

Most of the videos do not actually feature the rabbit or the reference to Rome's roads, but instead show a clip of a moment where the rabbit "got them," meaning a moment when inevitable heartbreak or tragedy caught up to them.

How Is 'The Rabbit Got Me' Used In Memes?

As a meme trend, the phrase "the rabbit got me" is added as a caption to videos taken either shortly before the TikToker experienced heartbreak or shortly after.

While most examples of the meme reference heartbreak and breakups, others reference tragedies unrelated to romance, such as miscarriages and friendship breakups.

Some TikTokers have added a twist to the trend by showing moments they were thankful that the rabbit got them.

For example, TikToker @b3njispam gained over 14 million views for a video showing her verbally abusive ex yelling at her, captioned, "How my life sounded before that lil rabbit actually saved me."
