What Is The '67 Hand Sign' And '67 Handshake?'

However, before the individual gesture, a handshake started going viral on TikTok in which one person's hand resembles a six and the other person's resembles a seven, using their fingers.
TikToker @soyzaddyy was the first known person to upload a video of the handshake in early August 2025, which gained 14 million views in a month and sparked the trend.
On August 25th, several TikTokers posted tutorials on how to do the individual 67 hand sign, which some have compared to a gang sign. Since then, numerous video tutorials on how to do the sign and the handshake have gone viral on TikTok.

How Are '67 Hands' Used Online?
The 67 hand sign and handshake inspired numerous viral videos throughout August 2025, with even more going viral in early September 2025.
Many of the videos are tutorials on how to do the shake or the sign, displaying it slowly over the rap song that inspired the 67 meme, "Doot Doot" by Skrilla.
Beyond tutorials, some TikTokers are just doing the hand sign to show their enjoyment of the meme. Others have even taken it a step further and made more elaborate memes out of the hand sign.
The best example is an edit by TikToker @jvsh.edixz, who took the famous Wuxi Finger Hold from Kung Fu Panda and reinterpreted it as the handshake.
