In mid-November 2025, TikTokers started posting videos to a section of the song "The Less I Know the Better" by indie rocker Tame Impala.
In the song, Kevin Parker sings, "So come on Superman, say your stupid line," a line that's been discussed by the band's fans at length.
While the origin of the trend isn't confirmed, one of the earliest known examples was posted by TikToker @nskzidqtb00 on November 16th, who lip-synced to the song under the caption, "So come on Superman, say your stupid line… 'I'm never drinking again.'"
In the video, the TikToker jokes that she always says, "I'm never drinking again," after getting too drunk, but never sticks to the advice, making it a "stupid line."
