We just started 2024 and it feels like Como Tan Muchacho parody animation is growing as a meme to be picked by the internet to be the new Axel in Harlem meme.

Well, it might not be an exactly “new animation,” as it’s based on a 2021 video by YouTuber and animator MeatCanyon titled “Gumballs In The Park,” which is a parody of Regular Show in which the character Benson is harassing Mordecai and Rigby by making them eat his gumballs. The video (shown below) amassed over 15 million views and 715,000 likes in three years.


Redraws, fan art and TikTok videos are all using the Regular Show parody scene with a Spanish dubbed more raw and lewd than the original version. As mentioned earlier, "Como Tan Muchacho?" is a fanmade Spanish dubbed version of the video by YouTuber and animator MeatCanyon titled "Gumballs In The Park," which was posted on July 9th, 2021, by TikTok user @razorbatista04. In this version, Benson approaches the characters saying "Como tan muchacho?" which translates to "How are you, guys?" and proceeds to harass them as the TikToker adds moans and other lewd slang terms in Spanish. The video (shown below) amassed more than 181,000 plays and 29,000 likes in three years.

How People Are Creating Memes Of The ‘Como Tan Muchacho’ Video?

Somewhat already popular with Spanish-speaking netizens, the meme really picked up in December 2023 on YouTube and TikTok, as people started to post redraws, cosplay and AI music inspired by the dub.
