The earliest known version of the "Do Not Download Twitter" meme was posted by TikToker @stealthvent on August 6th, 2026. The video shows Kanye West with his eye bulging from his head, reading a wall of text.

The text reads, "Do not download Twitter!" and goes on to explain that Kanye should not download Twitter / X simply because of who he is.

This meme references Kanye West's history of posting controversial tweets that get him into trouble. The video gained over 240,000 views in just over two weeks and quickly inspired a wave of memes made in a similar style with AI.

How Is 'Do Not Download Twitter' Used In Memes?

The video began to inspire memes in the latter half of August 2026. These memes are mostly going viral on TikTok, but they've also spread to Instagram Reels.
