The trend is known as "Habos Babos" after the two words that participants say before they toss their bottle of choice to the ground.

What Is The 'Habos Babos' Meme And What Does 'Habos Babos' Mean?
The Habos Babos meme was started by Hungarian TikToker @norman_patzek back in May 2024. In the original video, the TikToker enters a store, picks up a full bottle of liquid, says the name of the liquid in a way that makes his "Ss" whistle, then tosses it at the ground. The bottle bounces, and he catches it flawlessly.
In June, the TikToker posted another video bouncing a bottle, this time saying "habos babos" before bouncing and catching the bottle. When converted from Hungarian, "habos babos" roughly translates to "frothy beans" according to Google.
From there, the TikToker continued to regularly post new "habos babos" videos, inspiring a trend.

How Is 'Habos Babos' Used In Memes?
The Habos Babos trend has spread across TikTok over the past few months as the videos by @norman_patzek continue to go viral.
Most of these videos follow the same format, in which someone picks up a bottle, throws it to the ground after saying "habos babos," then catches it.
Sometimes the trend doesn't go as planned. In some of the most viral examples of the trend, the TikToker throws the bottle at the ground and instead of bouncing, it bursts and spills.
Some of these are done on purpose, with the most obvious examples of this being videos of participants throwing glass bottles to the ground, knowing full well they're not going to bounce.
