"Malfoid" is a nickname for a series of fan art that depicts Draco Malfoy, an antagonistic character from the Harry Potter series, as a woman rather than a man.

The art typically depicts Malfoid in an anime style and with a bratty attitude or tsundere archetype.

The name "Malfoid" is a combination of "Malfoy" and the term "foid," a derogatory incel term derived from "femoid" used to call women unintelligent.

However, in the case of this trend, it does not appear as if the term is used to call Malfoid unintelligent. More likely, it is just used because "Malfoy" and "foid" can be so easily combined into one nickname.

How Is 'Malfoid' Used In Memes And Fan Art?

One of the earliest depictions of a female Malfoy was posted by X / Twitter artist @grizz056 back in March 2024. The trend, however, didn't start until late September 2026, when artists like X user @redteneri started posting artwork depicting Malfoy as an anime girl.

Some of the most popular pieces of fan art depict Malfoid, sometimes known as Fem Malfoy, saying something bratty or making fun of Harry Potter, as Draco Malfoy is shown to do in the Harry Potter movies.

While the trend is the most popular on X, it is now spreading to sites like the /r/dankmemes subreddit, where she's being called "Draconia Malfoid."
