That's what happened with "MrBeast Rizz," a bizarre dance meme that began with a Russian song, a misheard lyric about MrBeast and AI-generated videos of the YouTuber dancing, only for MrBeast to recreate the whole thing in real life two years later.

Where Does The 'MrBeast Rizz' Meme Come From?

The earliest known upload featuring the song was posted by TikToker @gatbatchen on March 11th, 2024. The video showed a chattering teeth toy moving around a table while a Russian song played in the background, including lyrics that sounded to English-speaking listeners like the phrase "MrBeast rizz."

The identity of the song's original performer remains unclear. Some commenters speculated that it was YouTuber Holy Baam because of similarities between his voice and the singer, although this has never been confirmed.

The meme gained considerably more attention in July 2024 after musician whcum uploaded a remix titled "MR RIZZ."

The remix subsequently became a popular TikTok sound, where creators frequently paired it with AI-generated animations of MrBeast dancing. Many of these videos used ViggleAI and resembled the earlier "Ray William Johnson vs. Serbian Dancing Lady" meme format.

The joke was further popularized when YouTuber TurbiMark uploaded a video translating the song's actual lyrics into English.

Rather than being about "rizz," the lyrics repeatedly reference MrBeast and rice while humorously describing him as everything from a karate practitioner and lawyer to a guitarist and data analyst.

How Did The 'MrBeast Dance' Meme Spread?

Throughout late July and August 2024, the song became increasingly associated with AI-generated footage of MrBeast dancing against different backgrounds.

One TikTok from @mr.brainrotss received over 1.4 million views in just a couple of weeks, while even the official AC Milan TikTok account joined the trend by posting its mascot dancing to the song.

The meme remained recognizable over the following years, but received its biggest resurgence when MrBeast himself recreated it on August 2nd, 2026.

Wearing an all-black outfit, he performed the dance beneath a disco ball alongside backup dancers wearing masks of his face, captioning the TikTok, "Btw this dance took me hours to learn."

The recreation became enormously viral, accumulating more than 266 million views and 33 million likes in less than 10 days. According to reports, the dance also became the most reposted TikTok in the platform's history at the time.

After some viewers questioned whether the footage itself was AI-generated, MrBeast uploaded a behind-the-scenes video showing how the recreation was filmed.

What Happened After MrBeast Recreated The Meme?

MrBeast's participation transformed the two-year-old meme into a viral trend again in August 2026. Creators began comparing his real dance with the original AI animations, editing the new footage into different settings and producing their own recreations.

For example, YouTube channel Nazar's Memes uploaded a side-by-side comparison of the original AI dance and MrBeast's recreation, while TikTok users subsequently placed his dance into Fortnite and other edited scenarios.

The video also inspired Accuracy Reenactment, including an August 10th TikTok in which a creator recreated the dance on a train.

In effect, the meme came full circle. What began as internet users making an artificial version of MrBeast dance to a misheard Russian song eventually resulted in the real MrBeast performing the same dance, which then became source material for an entirely new wave of memes.
