What Is The 'SCP-067' Meme? The '67 Kid' Horror Trend Of Uncanny 'Anti-Piracy Screens' Explained

The 67 Kid from the viral cringe video has become uncanny, and people are calling the creepy, analog horror character "SCP-067."
Anti-piracy screens and other eerie edits of the boy, seen with a large, gaping mouth but still donning his iconic "ice cream hair," are surfacing en masse on TikTok and other video platforms.
"I wonder how the 67 Kid feels about this," was the caption of one such video, concerning the insane AI and Photoshop edits that have turned the Gen Alpha boy into a cryptid swallowing the Earth and absorbing souls through his piehole.
But where did the "SCP-067" meme come from? Who even is the "67 Kid," and why are the numbers six and seven funny to begin with? Let's explain.

Who Is The '67 Kid?'
The man (or boy) behind the terrifying TikTok edits is named Maverick Trevillian. He went viral when he said the numbers "six, seven" in a Cam Wilder YouTube video from March 2025.
The camera panned to Trevillian on the sidelines of a basketball game, seen packed in with a group of kids his age. He was sporting a blonde moptop and a grey hoodie from the brand Fear of God.
His 15 seconds of fame were extended when TikTokers discovered the YouTube clip. A lot of people thought that he was being cringey, as expressed in viral memes that dubbed him the "67 Kid."

Trevillian shaped a growing stereotype about young Gen Alpha and Gen Z white boys, who play baseball, style their hair in an ice cream shape and are always saying "6-7," from the viral meme.

The stereotype has been given a name, "Mason 67," which is kind of like the modern equivalent of "Karen" but used to describe boys in 2025.

What Does 'SCP-067' Mean?
The new, creepy version of the 67 Kid meme is called "SCP-067," as a reference to the SCP Foundation, a creative writing wiki and fictional universe centered on descriptions about the containment procedures of fictional objects and entities.
Many famous creepypastas and internet cryptids were spawned on the SCP Foundation. Most of them follow the same naming template, starting with "SCP," a dash and a given number (like a file number). Notable examples include SCP-173 and SCP-1471.
"SCP-067" is a parody of the SCP naming process, inserting the funny numbers, "6-7," to create the meme's name. Plus, there actually is an SCP-067 on the SCP Foundation website. It has nothing to do with the excited blonde kid, though.

Where Did The 'SCP-067' Meme Come From?
Last month, an edited image of the 67 Kid started spreading online. Its original creator is unfortunately unknown at the moment. Whoever they are, they gave the 67 Kid glowing blue eyes and a giant mouth, somewhat similar to the I'M A' FIRIN' MAH LAZER meme or effects used in phonk edits.

From there, internet users continued to mutate the 67 Kid's appearance, which eventually turned creepy on TikTok.
A user named @kingphonk_ appears to be the culprit, as far as we know. Their video, shared in late August, riffed on "analog horror" and "anti-piracy screens," like the viral one of late rapper King Von from last year.

Users on Twitter / X began calling the images "SCP-067" soon after that. The name has stuck with the meme across the various social media apps that it's spread to.
And the imagery is only getting more involved and degenerate. With each passing meme, the 67 Kid gets further removed from his original form.
